Innovando presents its RFID-based ELT traceability solutions at Autopromotec 2025

From logistics to warehouse management, from diagnostics to assistance activities, from retreading to
collection and disposal at the end of its life: literally from the cradle to the grave, RFID technology follows
the tyre in all stages of its life cycle, optimizing traceability, operational efficiency and sustainability.
To showcase how these innovations impact the entire tyre value chain, Autopromotec will host the RFID Ecosystem Village as part of its 60th edition. Innovando will take part in this initiative at Hall 22, Stand A2, alongside seven other exhibitors. Born from a collaborative effort, the project brings together Innovando, Ateq, Corghi, Devel, Fasep, GDSO, Michelin, and Regom, who will offer live demonstrations of various use cases throughout the event.
Innovando will specifically present the Digital Tyre Platform for the management and traceability of End-of-Life Tyres (ELTs), powered by RFID technology and integrated with the GDSO system.
This is a smart, interoperable solution designed to become a daily tool for the tyre replacement sector and all stakeholders in the value chain, enabling the reading and storage of data throughout the entire tyre lifecycle.
Key features:
- Recording of supplementary data beyond production information
- Unique identification of each tyre: new, used, retreadable, end-of-life
- System interoperability with intermediaries and ELT (End-of-Life Tyre) collectors
- Real-time process automation
RFID technology, which allows the unique identification of the individual tyre, already offers several
important advantages in the management of all operations related to the tyre, and will soon be of
fundamental importance also for the implementation of the digital product passport (DPP). In order for it to
spread as widely as a market standard, an ecosystem approach is necessary, hence the name of the exhibition
initiative.
In this perspective, the role of GDSO - Global Data Service Organisation for Tyres and Automotive
Components is fundamental, which since 2022 has been working for the creation and global dissemination
of a unique and interoperable standard for the use of tyre data in the cloud, thus building the IT infrastructure
on which the entyre system is based, in collaboration with all stakeholders in the tyre value chain.
These topics will also be explored during the conference "The RFID Ecosystem in Tyres", taking place on Wednesday, May 21st at 2:00 PM in Gallery 21/22.
We will be participating to explain how RFID technology enables the identification and connection of each tyre to its ecosystem, enhancing efficiency and traceability at every stage of its lifecycle.
We look forward to seeing you at Autopromotec 2025
