Innovando is a Founding Member of the United Nations Global Compact Network Italia, the largest corporate sustainability network in the world.
The Italian Network works to promote the UN Global Compact and its Ten Principles on human rights, labour, governance, environment, and anti-corruption, through cultural dialogue, knowledge production, and the dissemination of virtuous sustainability practices. It is also committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations for 2030.
Board of Directors
Over 500 companies, adhering to the network, already in the first year of our company’s membership (2019), appointed the members of the Board of Directors during the General Assembly, including Innovando’s Director of Sustainability, Cveta Majtanovic.
In May 2022, Majtanovic was among the members re-elected to the new composition of the Board of Directors, which today includes representatives from companies such as Italmobiliare, Pirelli, Leonardo, Edison, and Enel.

Technological tools for real-time environmental impact monitoring
No transition to innovation or a circular economy can be truly effective without specific verification, which is why we integrate data-driven tool.
Mapping environmental impact factors of the logistics system and defining the environmental impacts for the treatment of different types of materials aim to provide timely, accurate, and complete information on relevant environmental impact issues for all stakeholders.
Life Cycle Thinking
Developed using the LCA approach, and in line with the PEF/OEF – Product/Organization Environmental Footprint methodology, the tools allow for the evaluation and quantification of the environmental footprint of Innovando services throughout the entire life cycle. The approach considers a broad set of 16 impact indicators developed by the European Commission, as outlined in Recommendation 2013/179/EU.
At an international level, this methodology is regulated by the ISO 14040-44 series standards, which define the steps for structuring the investigation process.
The tools are fully integrated into the iSystem platform and developed with the support of Ergo Srl, a spin-off of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and Specialization in Pisa.
Sustainability Action Plan
Ongoing progress in measuring, reporting, and managing key sustainability trends requires the continuous adoption of updated standards that clearly reflect our commitment.
We achieve this by implementing streamlined, well-coordinated procedures across all decision-making and operational levels, supported by a structured action plan aligned with global goals, EU strategies, and the principles of the European Green Deal.
To meet this complex challenge, we collaborate with Ambiente Italia, a leading firm in environmental sustainability analysis, planning, and consulting.

Advocacy for the SDGs
Considering a series of the most relevant reference standards, both nationally and internationally, we are aligning our internal objectives and priorities with the achievement of the Global SDGs, particularly SDG13 – Climate Action, SDG12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.
By continuously improving ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors, the company follows the ISO 26000 model (Social Responsibility Management System). All these activities refer to Principle 7 of the United Nations Global Compact, which states that companies should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges. Following Principles 8 and 9 of the United Nations Global Compact, Innovando Srl has undertaken a series of initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility, while encouraging the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
